Our Mission
  • Encourage and promote the correct type in the breeding of Biewers in conformity with the standard of the breed as set forth by Mr. and Mrs. Biewer.

 

  •  Promote the exhibition, in conformation, performance and obedience, of pure-bred Biewers.

 

  •  Do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed.

 

  •  Produce educational materials for the benefit of ABA members and our colleagues.

 

  •  Educate and inform members and the public with regard to breeding, proper care, and maintenance of Biewers.

 

  •  Support and encourage research activities designed to improve the health and welfare of the Biewer breed.

Biewer Health and Education

ABA is dedicated to staying current on canine research and testing and presenting educational resources to its members. ABA's Membership actively pursues projects concerning the health and general welfare of the breed.

 

 

 Our central focus is Continuing Education. ABA Roundables are held online each month. Here members discuss subjects such as breeding, genetics, grooming, showing, health and many more topics to protect and enhance the Biewer breed. 

ABA members are responsible for adhering to the Standard of Perfection that was developed by Mr. and Mrs. Biewer and is included in this web site. A yearly Breeder Accreditation Program is conducted for Biewer breeders and, upon completion, breeders are awarded the ABA Approved Breeder seal of excellence.
